    Students learn about visual arts in a fun and non-competitive environment. Each week is based on an exciting theme. The students will explore painting, drawing, sculpting, collage, and more! Bring a packed lunch and a snack. Limited to 15.

    Summer Studios

    Ages 10-16
    Mon. -Thur., 10am-2pm

    Summer Studios is a two week program that offers young artists the opportunity to study drawing, painting, and ceramics in a focused, creative environment. After gaining familiarity and proficiency with pencil, brush, and clay, the student will be inspired to use these media for personal creative expression. Students study two hours of drawing and painting, and two hours of ceramics each day. Bring a lunch for the break. When you call to register, please specify age group: Ages 10-12 or Ages 13-16. Limited to 8 per age group.

    Moms, Dads & Tots

    Work creatively one-on-one with your child. We will use a variety of traditional art and household materials and will explore these in an open, expressive environment. There will be lively music, singing and creative movement. Limited to 12 pairs. Note to parents: Child must be 2-years-old by first class. Siblings under 7 months are welcome. Each tot must be accompanied by an adult.

    Pottery & Wheelthrowing

    Learn about the creative possibilities of clay. These classes will introduce students to hand-building techniques and the basics of wheelthrowing. Students will develop sensory skills, an understanding of balance and concepts of textures. Both individual and group instruction will be available. All projects will be kiln fired. Limited to 8.

    Parent & Child Pottery

    FUN on Fridays

    Ages 4 - 6

    Students will use a great variety of materials in this class to create drawings, paintings, and sculptures. These projects will excite the imagination while teaching basic principals such as color mixing. Bring a snack. Limited to 8.

    Drawing & Painting

    Have fun learning the basics of drawing and painting. In these classes, students will focus on drawing and painting skills, as well as trying their hand at collage and 3- D work. Students will use many different media: pencil, charcoal, tempera, pastel and more. Age-appropriate projects will include self portraits, landscapes and still life! Limited to 8.

    Metals Sampler

    Ages 12+, Adults Welcome

    This class will explore the different types of metals used in Metalsmithing. Techniques include shaping, polishing, soldering, piercing, etching and embellishing in copper and brass. Silver available for a small additional fee. Students will be encouraged to create their own unique designs for a special occasion or gift. Limited to 6.
