Programs in Public Housing
When able, the BAC partners with the Brookline Housing Authority to offer free art classes and workshops for residents of all ages.
Community Collage at 86 Dummer Street
Working with Brookline artists, the BAC offers collaborative collage workshops. During the workshops, residents make their own miniature collages to include in a larger community collage.
Art and Food
Beginning in Spring 2017, the BAC launched a pilot series of art workshops in conjunction with the Brookline Food Pantry. The workshops are offered on Thursdays from 3:00-5:00pm during pantry hours. Through this program, we hope to create an enriching art experience and welcoming environment for residents of Egmont and Trustman public housing units while they access the Food Pantry's services. These classes are open to all ages. This program is made possible through the support of Brookline Community Foundation.
In collaboration with Women and Girls Thriving in Brookline, the BAC offers pop-up art workshops for residents. Activities range from artisan cards for the holidays to printmaking, painting and more.
